Q: What is CASS certification?

A: The Coding Accuracy Support System (CASS) certification process is used to improve deliverability and to qualify the mailing for postal automation discounts. CASS certification assigns a zip+4 and barcode numbers to deliverable addresses. Mailers must be able to prove their lists are CASS certified to claim automation discounts.

Q: How can I keep my list updated? 

A: NCOA (National Change of Address) is a way to obtain new addresses of those who have moved within the past 48 months. This is done before your mailing is addressed. Upon request. we can also return a list of duplicates.

Q: Do I need my own permit?

A: No. Elite Mailing Services has permits through the U.S. Post Office that are available for you to use at no extra charge. If you prefer to have your own permit, we would be happy to guide you through the process. USPS charges a fee to open and maintain a permit.

How do I pay for postage?

 A: The USPS requires postage payment at time of mailing. If you are using Elite Mailing's permit, postage must be received prior to mailing. The USPS requires a check for postage payment. (no credit cards). If you are using your own permit, money must be deposited into your account before we can deliver the mail to the post office.

Q: Why use a mailing service rather than doing it myself?

A: A mailing service can save vou a lot of time and money. We have the eguipment to address quickly and efficiently. We also have permits with the U.S. Postal System that allow us to mail much more economically than a First Class Stamp, saving you a lot of money. We can also save vou the frustration of learning all the many U.S. Postal System rules and regulations.

Q: I am part of a nonprofit organization. How can I get the lowest postage rates?

A: There are some fairly simple forms and documentation required to prove the status of your organization. Once these forms have been presented and approved through the post office where your mailings are processed, you can begin taking advantage of the lower nonprofit rates.

Q: How do I get my list to you?

A: You can send the list to us as an Excel or text delimited file. It can be sent by email, CD. or flash drive. Please include the job information and total number of addresses as well as any specifics about the job.

​Q: I don't have a list. Can you get me one?

A: Yes. We can work with you to purchase a list that fits your needs, and we can select many different demographics to most closely target your audience.

Q: Do you do print and design work as well?

A: We are specialists in mailing only, but we do work with a number of reputable companies and would be happy to recommend one to vou.
